8 channels of music for tanning salon and cabines
It is much more fun and entertainment for the customer to hear music when tanning, therefore we offer a high qualitiy 8 channel music system called TANtec Studiosound.
Because music is a very important sales volume factor,
we also developed a passive music system. It is much more cheaper and
this way every TANtec system allows to provide music. By the way the
uniform wiring makes it possible to upgrade every sytem for use of
Studiosound.
The Studiosound is able to distribute 8
stereo
inputs (channels) to a maximum of 28 cabines and
provides
an
output to
choose a signal for
acoustic irradiation of the whole
tanning salon. The basic version feeds 8 cabines and can be enlarged in
steps of 4 cabines added. There is a keyboard in the front to choose
the channel for acoustic irradiation, it replaces the choice normally
made at the amplifier. The current choosen channel is signalised by a
yellow light emitting diode. Other channels with music on are
signalized in green, channels without music in red. This way it is easy
to look over all channels are provided with music. In case of not
connected inputs it is possible, to hide channels and switch off their
light emitting diodes.
So it is necessary to buy additional devices for feeding
the whole tanning salon with music - see example of use beside.
Normally some CD player, a tuner (radio) and an power amplifier will be
used. It is also possible to use a receiver (amplifier with integrated
radio), but only if the device provides a "monitor switch". This switch
reroutes the radio to the studio sound by the tape output and plays any
channel of the Studiosound (among them the radio) by tape input.
Without monitor switch the radio only can be played by acoustic
irradiation, respectively it is not possible to use
Studiosounds
keyboard for choice of channels.
We forbear from integrating an amplifier to the Studiosound, because
this would have been a more expansive and probably a low grade
solution, compared to the buying of an amplifier that exactly matches
the needs of the tanning salon.
Using
the remote control
of the terminal the
customer is
able to choose any
channel out of the cabine and to control volume.
The headphones can be connected directly to the remote control, but
also can be connected to the terminal using an optional adaptor cable.
Instead of headphones it is also possible to use loudspeakers with
impedance of minimum 4 ohm. The integrated amplifier provides a maximum
continuous output power of two times 7 watt sine wave. Please don't
mistake that for "PWO" specifications, which are often used for
computer speakers and tell maximum pulse load: 14 watt sine wave are
loud enough for making it necessary to limit the maximum
volume by software. To prevent them from damages this limiting of
volume is also useful when using headphones.
The active sound system Studiosound offers
best
sound quality because of a special transfer matrix method with a signal
to noise ratio of minimum 80 dB. The
passive music system
only provides the cabling to connect headphones or loudspeakers, but no
additional technique for better sound quality. People often asked for a
low cost solution, but all better solutions finally proved to be as
complex as Studiosound.
The hub for connection of data cables features an input for connecting
an amplifier, so it is connected the same way as additionl speakers.
The terminals also feature a similar connector to connect headphones,
which must be equipped with a volume control. Another possible use is
to inject an low power audio frequency signal and use little
amplifiers, like computer speakers, in the cabines. This makes it
possible to realize a low cost acoustic
irradiation of the cabines and keeps the possibility to update with
Studiosound later.
