Terminals
with and without musik
The terminals are connecting the sunbeds to the central
control. They are autonomous devices working like a programmable timer
and controlling the runtime of the sunbed. Each terminal is connected
to the central control by a data wire and each sunbed needs its own
terminal.
There are two versions of terminals existing, one of them contains a
power amplifier for the 8 channel
music system, the other is much simper, but able to provide a
passive
music
system.

For the music system we offer several control units. There is a remote control for music settings like volume and balance also showing cabine number and tanning time. Furthermore there are sunbed adaptors (Ergoline, KBL, Alisun and so on) to use the control elements of the sunbed for music settings.
Additionnally the remote control can be used for
emergency control of single sunbeds
or for central control.
Irrespective of the control unit the
terminals
offer an input for starting the sunbed by a sunbed button.
For elementary usage a terminal
is
connected to the sunbed
button and the box will be put inside or behind the sunbed. This way
the only control unit is the button of the sunbed to start or clear the
sunbed - this is similar to usage of a coiner.
For showing the cabin number and tanning time it is possible to connect
a remote control also to the terminal, but this won't enable
possibility of music control.
The terminal for music system normally will be delivered with remote control, but anyway the sunbed button can be connected in parallel.
For several sunbeds it is possible to replace the remote
control by a sunbed adaptor. This way no additional units lie about the
sunbed and the customer can use the control elements of the sunbed to
start it or to adjust volume/channel.
Please take notice not all sunbeds provide these control elements.
Both kinds
of terminals
memorize the
settings of the sunbed, like cooling time, maximum time, cabine number
and so on even without connection to the PC. This way the
terminals are
able to provide an emergency
control,
to prevent the tanning salon from downtime when the PC is
damaged. In this mode the terminals also memorize the number and total
time of emergency usage and when the PC is up again, it is possible to
read and evaluate these values.
There is not only the possibility of direct emergency
control for single sunbeds (this sometimes proves to be difficult, e.g.
when the terminal is inside the sunbed), but the remote control also
can be used for central emergency control using the bus system. This
mode requires entire TANtec hardware to be free from defects and can be
used when only the PC is damaged.
These modes of emergency control are software enhancements of the remote control, so it is possible to use every remote control for central emergency control just by connecting it to the bus system.
