You can download our demo software by self
extracting exe
file
(4,354 MB) or by zip
file
(4,332 MB). The software runs on all windows versions better than and
including Windows 98. There is a maximum of 25 MB free space needed on
harddisk.
The exe file must be executed after download (e.g. by
doubleclick) and starts an extraction program. Using the button
[Start] the software will be installed to the harddisk "c:" and will be
launched automatically (please
be
aware of the below-mentioned passwords for logon). The zip
file
is necessary, when the download of an exe file is denied by a microsoft
browser or if you want to check the files before installation.
Please keep in mind that the demo software is only
executable in directory "c:\TANtec_Demo" and this directory will be
created when installing the software. This is ment to prevent conflicts
between demo software and standard software. For totally remove of
software it is only necessary to delete this directory.
You can start the software by using the link
"Start_TANtec" inside of directory "c:\TANtec_Demo" or by doubleclick
on file "tt_Server.exe" inside of subdirectory "Prg". To simplify start
of software you can move the link "Start_TANtec" to the desktop using
the mouse.
The demo contains the whole software documentation and
you can use the help buttons to get detailled explanations about the
software. To show the html help files there is a browser needed, e.g.
Firefox or Internet-Explorer.
For logon there exists a user "Company TANtec Zentralsteuerungen" with password "tt". Furthermore there is a system access "System" using the password "123456".
When using a firewall you will get an error
message, when starting the software. In the process you can deblock the
software and you should terminate and restart the software after that.
The software uses the socket port "10010", because the TANtec system
consists of several programs, connecting themselves to the TANtec
server.
To terminate the software you should use the menu item [Studio] -> [Terminate] of the server. If you close the server by using [x] it is only hidden and continues to run. Thereby you can see the TANtec icon indise the systray and open the server again by mouse click. Please be aware the big red button [O] shuts down the whole PC.
